However, not everyone knows that sometimes it is the farmers themselves who probe the possibility of installing a plant on their land and that it is possible to reconcile energy production with silvopastoral activities.

GIS – Gruppo Impianti Solari has been on this path for some time, and yet, its clean energy projects are often blocked with obvious slowdowns on the energy transition. And so, a plant that was supposed to be in production as early as 2022 still does not exist.

📌We at Consilium are happy to support GIS, since its inception, in media relations activities aimed at enhancing the Group’s reputation and outreach in the national media landscape.

Eos Im sells two photovoltaic plants in southern Italy to Danish group Obton

Eos Im sells two photovoltaic plants in southern Italy to Danish group Obton

Eos Investment Management, a leader in investments in energy transition and sustainable energy through infrastructure and private equity funds, has announced the sale to Obton, a Danish group specializing in investments in sustainable technologies, of an additional 2 photovoltaic plants in Italy, with a total capacity of 12 MW.

The assets, in operation since 2012 and held in the portfolio of Eos Energy Fund I, the first infrastructure fund launched by Eos Im, are capable of generating more than 16 GWh per year and meeting the annual energy needs of about 6,500 households, resulting in savings, compared to energy produced from fossil fuels, of more than 10 thousand tons of CO₂. This divestment is in addition to the one already made in November 2020, for a total of 30 MW of solar plants divested by Eos Im to the Danish group.

Consilium is happy to support Eos in media relations activities, aimed at enhancing the Group’s reputation and outreach in the national media landscape.

The ecological transition also passes through energy efficiency: the EU is pushing for the final declaration of Cop28, currently underway in Dubai, to include a commitment to double the rates of improvement by 2030.

Meanwhile, there are those who have made reducing building consumption their core business, such as Enerbrain. Founded in 2015 thanks to four Italians who returned from abroad, it promotes a rational use of energy thanks to smart Cloud solutions and IoT technologies.

Agenda Digitale mentions it in this article in a list of 15 innovative companies to watch out for.

Enerbrain inaugurates new headquarters

Enerbrain inaugurates new headquarters

Last Friday, we were guests of Enerbrain, which publicly opened the doors of its new headquarters in the presence of partners and stakeholders.
For the occasion, together with Enerbrain, we organised a round table at which four experts spoke about digitalisation at the service of energy and sustainability: Giuseppe Giordano (Enerbrain), Graziella Roccella (Planet Smart City), Giovanni Baroni (Confindustria, Billoo), and Ciro Cattuto (Fondazione ISI).
It was an opportunity to discuss important topics for the country, giving voice to the great potential for development that exists and the critical issues that still hinder a real energy transition.

AB’s technology for the Mazzari distillery

AB’s technology for the Mazzari distillery

Consilium Hub alongside Gruppo AB – Energy Sustainability and Energy Management in the path indicated by the EU which envisages, by the end of 2030, the production by member states of at least 35 billion of cubic meters of #biomethane with the aim of replacing the 20% of natural gas imports with a sustainable, cheaper and locally produced alternative.

This AB 𝗕𝗜𝗢𝗖𝗛𝟰𝗡𝗚𝗘® plant has the capacity to produce 1,000 cubic meters per hour of biomethane which originates from the raw materials processed in the distillery such as wine dregs and fruit waste. The biomethane produced can either be used by the Mazzari distillery itself to operate its boilers or be injected into the national network available to other users.

Furthermore, the waste produced by anaerobic digestion can be reused in agriculture as an agricultural fertilizer, therefore returning to the earth as a precious resource, closing the circle.

Renewables: new Eligible Areas Decree

Renewables: new Eligible Areas Decree

On the renewable energy front, the new Suitable Areas decree is causing a lot of discussion and concern among professionals.

In fact, the draft circulated in July talks about maximum limits on the use of agricultural land for photovoltaic purposes which could create a new and serious block to the development of RES in our country.

Consilium Hub supports GIS – Gruppo Impianti Solari, an association created to give voice to a group of companies specialized in the renewable energy sector, in communication activities with the aim of giving visibility to an important issue that risks hindering the energy transition of our Country: the bureaucracy linked to the authorization process for photovoltaic systems.
